He was a senior research associate at Case Western Reserve 1968-1971 and director of advanced research and primary scientist at KMS Fusion, Inc. 1971-1988. Dr. Mayer is a fellow of the American Physical Society, a holder of several laser-related patents, and author of more than 60 peer-reviewed technical papers.
