  • Biography: Dr. Mbah Chika John is a lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He possesses Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (B. Pharm.), Master degree (M. Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Doctorate degree (PhD) in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry. He joined the services of the University of Nigeria as a graduate Assistant in 1984, after one-year of post-graduate internship and one-year national service (NYSC). Appointed a postdoctoral fellow (1993) at Bayshore Rehabilitation Systems, New Jersey, USA. At the end of the postdoctoral fellowship, He worked as Research Scientist, PTS Laboratories, New Jersey, USA; Senior Analyst, Metuchen Analytical, New Jersey, USA; Inter-laboratory Analyst, Narcotic Division, New York Police Department, USA and Manager, Analytical Services, DMI, Inc, New Jersey, USA. Dr. Mbah Chika John Research interest include Drug purity and degradation; Various techniques to improve delivery of drugs with Bio-pharmaceutical problems (poor aqueous solubility etc.) into systemic circulations.
