  • Biography: Dr. Issa is a graduate of Salahaddin University in Erbil, Iraq. She completed her Internal Medicine training at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, Maryland. After completing her training, she was hired as a teaching faculty at Prince George's Hospital Center, Internal Medicine residency program from 2002 –2006 after which, she moved to West Virginia and started working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, section of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Issa received board certification in Internal medicine in 2002 and recertified in 2012. She earned board certification in Obesity Medicine in 2015.
