Biography:

Vanessa M. Martos Núñez is currently working as a full professor at the Department of Plant Physiology and Deputy Head of the Mediterranean Centre (organizes courses throughout the academic year and more intensely during the summer months, an extensive program of courses, in different locations in the province of Granada and Ceuta and Melilla: A priority area is agroecology: demanded discipline among students and society in general). She was also Deputy Head of the Centre for Development Cooperation Initiatives (CICODE) at the University of Granada. Her research activities focus mainly on Sustainable Agriculture for Development, Development of molecular markers for the detection of abiotic stress resistance characters in durum wheat for the Mediterranean area, Definition of morphophysiological criteria of selection for the genetic improvement of cereals under Mediterranean environment, Ecophysiology of species of ecological value in Andalusia, Evaluation of agri-food products through spectral reflectance and Biotechnological processes for the preparation of inoculants of microorganisms, floor. Technologies based on renewable sources of phosphates and waste agroindustrial.
    Graduate in Pharmacy of the UGR (1998). Graduate thesis awarded special prize (2001). FPI grant from the Ministry of Education and Science to carry out doctoral thesis (2003), special prize for doctoral thesis. Teaching experience: in 4 degrees from 2000, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and Environmental Science. Doctoral courses in two programmes with mention of quality: Official Master´s in Biology for agriculture and aquiculture (and I have also been co-coordinator for the official postgraduate courses since 2004).
