Dr. Randall T. Higashida is a renowned neurointerventional radiologist, a specialist in using imaging technologies to diagnose and treat disorders of the brain and spine. An expert on stroke in particular, he serves as chief of neurointerventional radiology.
Higashida earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
Higashida is a member of numerous scientific committees and medical associations, including a task force on cerebrovascular neurosurgery and a research committee for the American Heart Association. He also has chaired the American Heart Association's council on cardiovascular radiology and has served as president of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery.
