Biography: Guanjun Xiao is currently an associate professor of State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials, Jilin University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree (2013) in Condensed Matter Physics under the supervision of academician Prof. Guangtian Zou and Prof. Bo Zou at Jilin University. His scientific interests focus on the high-pressure physics and chemistry of low-dimensional materials, as well as the synthesis and mechanism of new functional semiconductor nanocrystals. He has successfully achieved the energy band modulation and the capture of high pressure phase of low dimensional materials, and found a series of new structures and new phenomena. Moreover, he has revealed the pressure effects on the electronic structures, phase transition routines and carrier dynamics, which provide new methods for the design and preparation of low dimensional materials with specific functions. In recent years, He has published 40 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, and their citations exceeding 700 giving him an h-index of 16. Therein, 1 paper was selected as a highly cited paper by Essential Science Indicators. He has been also authorized 3 items of national invention patents.
