Country: USA
Biography: Dr. Gaurav Mehta received his PhD degree in Biochemistry and Cancer Biology from The University of Toledo, Ohio in 2015 and is currently a Postdoctoral fellow at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ). His research focuses on understanding the epigenetic and non-epigenetic mechanisms involved in the development of Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) using multi-omics data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) project and integrate it with the molecular biology approach to identify genomic alterations involved in the regulation of PI3K/Akt signaling in TNBC. His research work has been published in several high-profile journals including Nucleic Acid Research, Oncoimmunology, Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, Breast Cancer Research and Treatment and he has also been a recipient of numerous awards including the Gallo award for Outstanding Researcher and the prestigious New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research (NJCCR) Postdoctoral fellowship award.
Research Interest: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Cancer Biology
