Biography:

Dr. Dattatray Dhawale is working as a Scientist at the Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute (QEERI), since June 2016. Before moving to QEERI, Dattatray worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia during 2013-2016, where he worked on photo- and electro-catalysis for solar water splitting for the solar fuel production. Prior to joining KAUST, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Queensland, Australia from 2011 to 2013 and Research Associate at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan during 2010-2011 after he successfully completed few months of the research at Hanyang University Seoul, South Korea. Dattatray already authored and co-authored more than 59 research articles in high quality international journals with 4 patents with more than 2600 citations, generating an h-index 32 and i10-index 48. Dattatray research interest encompasses on development of novel, efficient nanomaterials for solar energy, energy storage, photocatalysis and gas sensor technology. Currently, in QEERI, Dattatray is working in photovoltaic and energy storage portfolio for the fabrication of low cost and high performance solution processed thin film solar cells and energy storage devices.
