Biography: Dr. Clement Zeh recently accepted a position with CDC Ethiopia as the Associated Director Laboratory. Dr. Zeh was the CDC Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) Laboratory Advisor and double as the acting Program Director in Kisumu Kenya for HIV prevention. Dr. Zeh received his PhD from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and has served CDC since 1999. He has over 15 years of experience in HIV/AIDS and STI research. He served as Principal Investigator (PI) and co-PI in several clinical trials including intervention, Point of Care devices and HIV prevention programs. Dr. Zeh has been instrumental in evaluation of HIV testing strategies, diagnostic and incidence tests. Dr. Zeh was the principal party responsible for establishing and staffing the CDC/KEMRI HIV labs in Kenya. He has provided strong leadership in developing a clinical laboratory that achieved ISO15189 and DAIDS laboratory certification, WHO-accredited HIV drug resistance laboratory and designated the Kenyan National and Regional Reference Laboratory for HIV Drug Resistance.
