Biography: Bernardino Geraldo Alves Souto is graduated in Medicine by Federal University of Juiz de Fora, MG, Brazil. He has Master's degree and PhD in Infectology and Tropical Medicine by Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He is also expert in Intensive Medicine Care, Internal Medicine, and Epidemiology. He works on general medicine, epidemiology, infectious diseases, intensive medicine care, health surveillance, nosocomial infection, medical education and public health management. At the Federal University of São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil, he is a lecturer at the Medicine Course, Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Clinical Management and researcher in the area of clincal and epidemiological studies in Health Sciences. At the momment, he is developing postdoctoral study on Molecular Biology of HIV at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute of the School of Medicine of University of Minho, Braga, Portugal.
