Biography: She is currently Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Western Washington University Bellingham WA. As a cultural and medical anthropologist with a background in East Asian studies, Women-Gender studies, and Public Health, she brings a rich interdisciplinarity to my scholarship and to my teaching. After receiving her doctorate in Anthropology from Stanford University in 2014, she conducted postdoctoral research at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit MI, and then at the University of South Carolina School of Public Health, Columbia SC, where she worked with an interdisciplinary team of scholars developing research in labor migration, marginalized/disadvantaged women, social stigma, HIV/AIDS, and social networks.
