Dr Somashekhar M Metri M Pharma Ph.D, BLDEA’s SSM College of Pharmacy and Research Centre Vijaypur, is a Dynamic, Hard working, Enthusiastic professional and responsible person in the field of pharmaceutical sciences especially in Pharmaceutical Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Organic and Inorganic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis. He has proven leadership abilities in working as a team, handling multiple tasks, great adaptability to any enterprise’s environment.

He is having total 10 years of teaching and research experience. He is specialized in the area of synthetic chemistry, 2D-QSAR study, study of structure activity relationship of synthesized compounds, handling of analytical instruments, Computer aided drug design study and analysis of pharmacological activities of newly synthesized compounds. He received Rs 0.5 Lakh research grant for synthesis and biological evaluation of newly synthesized 1,3,4-oxadiazoles from BLDE university Vijaypur, and applying more than 5 lakhs from various bodies. In his career, he has guided 06 M Pharma students and 12 B Pharma students. He is active D Pharm, B Pharm, M Pharm and Pharm D examiner, and valuator from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka, Bengaluru. Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed to be University Karad Maharashtra and Chalapati Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Guntur Andrapradesh. He is working as Editor in Chief for Universe Journal of Pharmaceutical Research (UJPR) of universe publishers and editorial members (10) and Editorial Advisory board members (07) for various national and international journals.

            He is working as reviewer for more than 20 various peer reviewed national and international journals like International Journal of Bioassays, advance pharmaceutical journal, SPER Journal of advances in novel drug delivery, agricultural research journal. He is a Life Member of Pharma Research Library, APTI, PRISAL, FHER and Life Member Associations of Pharmacy Professionals (APP). Organized more than 10 conferences/Seminars/workshops as Member/Secretary/Coordinator, Participated more than 55 various National and International Seminars, Conferences, Faculty Development Programme and Symposiums and Organized Workshops and Conferences, Participated more than 150 virtual National and International Seminars, Conferences, Faculty Development Programme and Symposiums.
