Biography:

Rukiye SEVİNÇ ÖZAKAR received a B.Sc. in pharmacy from Atatürk University in Erzurum, TURKEY and a M. Sc. and Ph.D. in pharmaceutical technology from Institute of Health Sciences, Atatürk University in Erzurum, TURKEY. She has worked in research and development mainly for the pharmaceutical technology in university. She has been teaching the pharmaceutical technology lessons (theoretical and laboratories). She has authored 4 scientific papers, 18 presentations and 7 projects on the topics of pharmaceutical formulation, nanotechnology, and evaluation of active pharmaceutical ingredients. She is interested in hybrid nanoparticles/nanoparticles, floating beads, cell culture and cancer. Her current studies are related to hybrid nanoparticles, floating beads and micropellet capsules. She has a patent application. She has also worked as a member of the commission in Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency in Ministry of Health. She wants to be a good pharmacist and pharmaceutical technologist throughout her life. She is married with a pharmacist (research assistant in the same department) and has one child (a boy). Her hobby is to grow orchids and cactuses in her home terrace.
