Biography: Prof.
Ranjan Ganguli is currently a Professor in the Aerospace Engineering Department
of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, since 2000. His research
interests include mechanics and materials, aerospace engineering, rotorcraft
and computational science. He received his PhD and MS degrees from the Department
of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, USA in
1994 and 1991, respectively, and his B.Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur in 1989. He
has also worked at GE & Pratt & Whitney for 3 years. He has published 205
journal papers, 124 conference papers and 6 books. He is a Fellow of American
Society of Mechanical Engineers, an Associate Fellow of American Institute of
Aeronautics and Astronautics, a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of
Engineering, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, UK, and a Fellow of
the Aeronautical Society of India. He was also awarded the Humboldt and
Fulbright Senior Research Fellowships.
