in endocrinology from the University of Madras, India. After completion of his
postdoctoral training, he was appointed as a Research Assistant Professor of
immunology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. His research
interests are focused on immune cell dysfunction and its relation to
autoimmunity and diabetes.
