Dr. Al Bdour  is a Professor of ophthalmology at Jordan University Hospital. He completed his undergraduate training at University of Jordan and his residency in ophthalmology at King Hussein Medical Centre in Amman. Then worked at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in United Kingdom and obtained the Fellowship in ophthalmology from the Royal College of Surgeons /Ireland in 1995. Prof. Al Bdour was the Dean of Faculty of Medicine/ University of Jordan from October 2013 till September 2015. Since 2006, he is the Director of Jordan Eye Bank, a unique, national institute. Prof. Al Bdour has an extensive teaching experience with residents and junior ophthalmologists. He has been an examiner for the Jordanian Board in Ophthalmology for more than a decade. In addition to that, he  used to chair the examination committee of the Arab Board. Now he is the Vice president,Scientific Committe :Arab Board of Medical Specialization and he is an examiner for the ophthalmology Fellowship at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Research Interest: Corneal diseases especially Keratoconus., Diabetic retinopathy,Stem cell regenerative medicine
