Majid A Ganaie is currently Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy at Jamia Hamdard, India, in 2001, and his PhD in Pharmacology from the same university in 2008. 

After completing his PhD, Majid Ahmad worked as research scientist at Dabur Research Foundation in Sahibabad, UP, India.  During that time, he worked with preclinical toxicology studies and development of new preclinical animal models. In December 2009, he started his academic carrier as lecturer in College of Pharmacy (Alkharj), King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh and later from 2011 at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU), Alkharj, Saudi Arabia. While at KSU and PSAU he has continued his work on preclinical research with focus on preventive preclinical studies, inflammation, and metabolic disorders.
