Biography:

Luis Capitán Morales, doctor, university professor and academic. He was born in Seville in 1955. He is developing his entire career as a surgeon and professor at the Vírgen Macarena Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine of Seville. His fundamental research has dealt with colorectal cancer.
In 1972 the Bachelor of Medicine concluded, in 1985, he obtained the PhD with Extraordinary Prize.
He has had training stays in other hospitals such as the Paul Brousse hospital in Paris and the Clinic in Barcelona.  His main teacher was Prof. Manuel Zarapico Romero.
Since 2017 he is Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Seville He has been Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Seville.  He is Professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of Seville.
He has been Head of Studies and Chairman of the Local MIR Teaching Commission of the Virgen Macarena University Hospital in Seville.  Tutor of residents of the Teaching Unit of General Surgery and the Digestive System.

Research Interest: Mainly on colorectal cancer.
