Biography: Dr. Kamal Shemisa is board certified in General Cardiology,
Echocardiography, Cardiac CT and Nuclear Cardiology. His research focus is in
health-care quality improvement to develop strategies in optimizing
care-delivery in hospitals. He has
published clinical manuscripts in important general cardiology topics
concerning cardiomyopathy, cardiac oncology, interventional cardiology,
interpretation of cardiac biomarkers, and anti-platelet therapy adherence. His future aspirations include leading
clinical research in care-quality, health care provider education and remaining
updated on technological/practice changes within the
field of cardiology and cardiac imaging.
He is committed to developing initiatives aimed to improve EMR order sets,
education for hospital staff, resident and medical student mentorship.
