Professor Jian-Ping Wang, Deputy Director of Institute of Aerospace Research, Director of Center for Combustion and Propulsion, Peking University. He entered University of Science and Technology of China in 1980. He was sent by Ministry of Education of China to Department of Aerospace Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan in 1982，Received Bachelor, Master and Doctor degrees in 1986, 1988, and 1991 there. Then he worked as assistant professor at propulsion laboratory at Nagoya University. During 1994 to 1996, he joined Aerodynamics Division of National Aerospace Laboratory, Japan. Then he worked as tenure associate professor, full professor of Yokkaichi University, Japan. Since 1996, he became full professor of Department of Mechanics and Engineering, Peking University. He is on the board of directors, Institute of the Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems; Member of Pressure Gain Committee of AIAA; Scientific Committee Member of ICCFD and ACFD; Advisory Committee Member of Asian-Pacific Conference on Aerospace Science and Technology,
