Biography: Dr Qasem, a Professor of Weed Science (Weed Physiology and Ecology) at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan. His studies included the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Agricultural Sciences from Aleppo University, Syria in 1976, and the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Weed Science, Department of Plant Production and Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jordan in 1982, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Plant Physiology/ Weed Science, Department of Biological Sciences, University of London, UK. in 1987.
