Biography: Dr. Farouk El-Sabban is a Professor in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the College of Life Sciences at Kuwait University, Kuwait. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in nutritional sciences at the Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania, USA. He established the Department of Family Sciences (currently known as the Department of Food Science and Nutrition) – the only entity that grants the B.Sc. degree in Food Science and in Nutrition in Kuwait. He held the position of Senior Staff Scientist at the American Heart Association, Dallas, Texas, USA.
