Biography: Dr. Bo SONG, from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST, China) has been engaged in the basic research work on additive manufacturing since 2010 years. Facing the characteristics of laser additive manufacturing, the special material was designed to improve the property of metal components, finally, the high-performance components were achieved by the integrated forming of material structure and function. 14 invention patents were applied and three were authorized. 50 papers were published in the SCI journals in the field of material processing, such as Scripta Mater.，J.
