Biography:

Dr. Baotong Wang, Associate Professor of Institute for Aero Engine, Tsinghua University. He entered Xi’an Jiaotong Univerisity of China in 2001 and received Bachelor and Master degree in Engineering there. He went to Department of Advanced Energy, The University of Tokyo, Japan in 2008and received Ph.D degree in 2012 there. Then he worked as invited research fellow at Department of Advanced Energy in The University of Tokyo until 2013. During 2013 to 2015, he joined Sector of Vehicle Turbocharger, IHI Corporation, Japan as development engineer. Then he shifted to Turbomachinery group of Technology & Intelligence Integration in IHI Corporation as Senior Associate Researcher. After six years working experience in industry world of Japan, he went back to China and currently holds the position of associate professor in Institute for Aero Engine, Tsinghua University.

His research focuses on the following topics:1) Aerodynamic optimization design of turbomachinery components in aero engine; 2) Aerodynamic and aeroelastic stability in aero engine;3) Uncertainty quantification of performance in aero engine;4) Advanced simulation and test technology in aeroengine.
