Anthony W. Hoskin graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Sociology from the University of Utah in 1993. He earned his Ph.D. in the same field at the State University of New York in Albany in 1999. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice Director at Idaho State University. 

Dr. Hoskin’s research interests are varied, but he has two areas of focus: 1) understanding human behavior from an evolutionary perspective, and 2) understanding the causes of violence and criminality. His publications have appeared in leading journals like Criminology and Justice Quarterly.
