Biography:

Mrs. Annalisa Maggio received a Master in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine. She studied neuroscience and investigated the effects of motor deprivation on neurogenesis for her thesis. Strongly believing that transferring techniques and knowledge between different fields is key, she pursued her deep translational interest in the immunological synapse formation and immunotherapy in Brain Tumours, working on Chimeric Antigen Receptors targeting a particular antigen specifically expressed on cancer cells in glioma. She is now a Research Assistant driven by curiosity in neuroscience, she would like to contribute to the discovery of new ubiquitin pathways in neurodegeneration using iPSCs as cellular models.
