Biography: Prof. Abdel-Raouf  M. Khallil the former Head of Botany and Microbiology (Assiut University, Egypt) is currently working as a Prof. of Microbiology at the same Department. He awarded his M. Sc. And Ph. D. in the fungal biodiversity and eco-physiology area.from the University of Assiut (Egypt) in 1984 and 1987, respectively. Since Sept., 2001 he is full professor. He completed his postdoctoral research at Division of Fish diseases, Nippon University, Tokyo, Japan during 2005. He held several positions during his carreir at Egyptian and Libyan universities. His special interst is the biodiversity, ecophysiology and biotechnology of fungi. He has a track record of more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed scientific international and national journals and symposiums. He is reviewer of the Botany Permanent Committee for Promotion Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. He Supervised  and examiner several successful M. Sc. and Ph. D. Thesis at Egyptian and Libyan Universities. He reviewed several scientific papers in national and international journals. He is a Editorial board member of various national and international journals. He taught several courses for the undergraduate and postgraduate students at several Egyptian and Libyan universities. He is a member of the the Pan African Medical Mycology Society and regular member of several Egyptian scientific.Organizations. He has authored booka and several university notes in his scientific area.
