Biography: Prof. K S Chan received his B Sc (First Class Honors) and PhD degrees in physics from University of Hong Kong. He conducted his post-doctoral research in semiconductor quantum well physics at Oxford University and Nottingham University in UK, before he joined City University of Hong Kong. His current research interest is theory and modeling of transport, spintronic and optical processes in semiconductor, graphene and superconductor nano structures. His publications include two book chapters and over 130 refereed journal papers
